The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) is facing on-ground defeats on the lands in its control, however, internationally attacks continue claimed in its name. India, so far, has avoided any major terrorist attack claimed by the ISIS, although reports of recruitments have cropped up.

A recent audio clip in Malayalam claiming to be from the Islamic state, has called for financial help and a war against India while living in the country, saying to conduct Las-Vegas type attacks on Indian festival sites.

In the 10-minute audio clip, the male voice quotes from the Quran with an Arabic pronunciation, and attempts to inspire 'lone-wolf' attacks.

“You use your intellect. Poison them in food. Use trucks. Drive over them at Thirssur pooram or at Maha Kumbha Melam. IS Mujahideen are doing it in several parts of the world.  In Las Vegas, one of our supporters killed many people at a music concert. At least you should try to derail a train. Or use a knife,” the clip said.

The Las Vegas attack by a 'lone-wolf' gunman last month killed 59 people in the shooting terms as one of America's deadliest mass shootings in recent times.

The audio clip adds that Muslims should migrate (hijrah) from house of non-believers (Darul Kufr) to the house of believers (Darul Islam).

“If you are not able to do that despite your prayers and efforts, then you should financially support Daulatul Islam and Islamic State,” the clip says.

“Many are trying to finish IS and khilafat. We have been reduced to nothing in many parts. But, Daultaul Islam is still active and we will fight until the last man,” the clip adds.

According to police sources, the voice in the Malayalam audio clip has been identified as that of Rashid Abdullah of Kasaragod who left to join the ISIS in Yemen.

The clip comes at a time when the Kerala police has claimed that 100 people from the state have joined the Islamic State. The Kerala Police said that more than 300 voice clips and messages from WhatsApp and other social media platforms have been collected as evidence of the people joining ISIS.
