The famous biker, Sana Iqbal died in a car accident on the outskirts of Hyderabad on Tuesday morning as she and her husband were travelling to Tolichowki on the Outer Ring Road (ORR) near Narsingi when their car hit the median.

Bike-riding may be traditionally associated with males, but Sana Iqbal from Hyderabad, broke all stereotypes to become a famous Indian cross-country woman biker, fighting against suicide and depression by spreading awareness.

Nasingi inspector GV Ramana Goud said that Sana's husband Abdul Nadeem had been behind the wheel of their Fiat Punto when he lost control of the car around 4 AM near the Army Public School close to Kali Mandir. The car hit the electric pole on the median and was damaged badly.

The police has registered a case under sections 304A (causing death by negligence) and 337(causing hurt by act endangering life or personal safety of others) of Indian Penal Code.

Sana, in November 2015 had embarked on a solo bike riding trip across the country on a Royal Enfield during which she covered 38,000 kms.

On the rear of the bike a placard read: "Solo ride across India by a woman on bullet to raise awareness against suicide and depression. Suicide is not the solution".

After her successful battle with depression, Sana was inspired to help others facing similar issues and encourage them to never give up in life.
