I Am Being Framed, Says School Girl Accused Of Stabbing Class 1 Student In Lucknow

The Class 6 girl student of Lucknow's Brightland School accused of stabbing a Class1 student of the same school on January 16, on Monday proclaimed her innocence, claiming that she was being framed of the attack.

A day after she was released on interim bail granted by the Juvenile Justice Board, the accused girl addressed media, saying that there had been some arguments with the teachers due to which she believed she was being framed for the knife attack on the junior student.

"There had been some arguments between some teachers, my father and me. I suspect that is a reason I am being framed," said the girl.

"The child and I never faced each other. A photo of mine was produced before him. I was told by the school mgmt that he has identified me. I have been with short hair since November but they say he identified me in my old pictures," she said.

"I want the case to be investigated thoroughly & the real culprit be punished. If I am innocent I must be allowed to walk free. I know I am innocent," said the girl.

A 7-year-old student of Class 1 at the Brightland School in Lucknow was stabbed by a knife in the school bathroom sustaining wounds to his chest and abdomen, but surviving the attack. The boy later accused a Class 6 girl of attacking him with a knife and that she did so because she wanted the school to close early.  

In a similar incident, Class 2 student of Ryan International School Gurugram was murdered on September 8, 2017, when his throat was slit with a knife. The main accused in the case is a Class 11 student is suspected of killing the boy to delay/cancel impending exams, and parent-teacher meetings.
