Two days after 7-year-old Pradyuman was found dead in the toilet of Ryan International School in Gurugram with his throat slit, protests continue to abound in front of the school and close to its premises.

On Sunday, a group of protesters set fire to a liquor shop located close to the school premises, as they assembled in front of Ryan International School, smashing window panes of the school. As hundreds of protesters gathered, 3 busloads of police personnel were called in who had to resort to lathi charge to disperse the crowd.

So far, a bus conductor, Ashok Kumar, has been the main accused and arrested for allegedly slashing the throat of the Class 2 boy after attempting to sexually assault the child. The acting principal of Ryan International School Neerja Batra has also been suspended. However, protestors and parents are calling for more stringent action against the school.

The parents of Pradyuman have alleged that there is more than one person involved in the murder of the boy and have called for a CBI investigation into the matter.

"I want a fair investigation. I doubt that there is only one accused in this case who has been arrested by the police. I don't want to give any political colour to my child's murder," child's father urged.

On Sunday, Haryana education minister Ram Vilas Sharma said, "Action has been taken against management and owner of Ryan International School under section 75 of the Juvenile Act. Accused will be presented before the court within a week."

The minister added, "If the parents are not satisfied with the investigation so far, the state government is ready to call in any agency".
