Congress President Rahul Gandhi kick-started the party campaign for the Lok Sabha elections 2019 in Telangana on Saturday. While addressing the public rally in Haveri he declared that as soon as Congress will come to power, the five different taxes called GST will be reformed.

He said, “Demonetisation and GST caused a huge loss to the economy. We will reform the GST when we form the government.”

He even blamed BJP for freeing Masood Azhar during Kandahar plane hijacking case.

He further said that their first job will be to bring in reservation for women. He assured a group of traditional fishermen in Goa that if his party was voted to power at the Centre this year, a separate Union ministry would be created for fisheries.

According to Rahul Gandhi in Karnataka, the fight is of ideologies. He said, “I want to tell our workers that in Karnataka, there is an ideological fight. On one side, there’s BJP, RSS and Narendra Modi. On the other side the Congress, the people of the country.”

He even spoke about the income guarantee scheme and said, “If we come to power in 2019, we will bring the minimum income guarantee scheme. Every poor person will get a minimum income. The money will be deposited directly in their bank accounts. BJP wants to create two Indias. One of the businessmen. In this India, businessmen run away with your money. Another India is of the poor, farmers. In this other India, there is unemployment, poverty, and hunger,” said Rahul Gandhi.

“Congress will never allow these divisions. It will be one country where every person gets justice. Those who break the law are jailed,” he added.
