Goa Tourism Minister Manohar Ajgaonkar Threatens To Chase Away Tourists

Goa Tourism Minister Manohar Ajgaonkar has said that he will chase away tourists who do not respect Goan culture. 

As per reports, a video of Ajgaonkar has surfaced, speaking at the inauguration of the Goa Food and Cultural Festival in Panaji on Friday, where he reportedly said that those tourists who do not respect the Goan culture and the spirit of 'Goanness' will no longer be welcome.

He said, "The tourists who come here should take care of Goa's culture and Goanness, otherwise I will chase them away. I will not listen to anyone. I am saying this clearly."

Ajgaonkar added "We have to preserve our Goan culture and Goanness. We do not want tourists who sell drugs, we do not want hotels which sell drugs."

Earlier on Friday, Goa's town and country planning minister Vijai Sardesai called the domestic tourists of the state 'scum of the earth'. In his blunt statements, he blamed the North Indians for multiplying the problem of garbage with their indecent approach.

Previously Goa's CM Manohar Parikar gave a statement in which he said that "I have begun to fear no because even the girls have started drinking beer." And, soon the hashtag #GirlsWhoDrinkBeer started trending on Twitter, where many women shared pictures of themselves drinking beer to prove their point.
