Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar who was admitted to Lilavati hospital in Mumbai since February 15 for a pancreas-related ailment has been discharged from the hospital and is presenting the state budget in the assembly.

Parrikar was rushed to Lilavati Hospital on February 15, a day after he complained of stomach pain.

Several media reports had announced that Manohar Parrikar was diagnosed with Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer and he went for the treatment of the same. This was immediately refuted by BJP leaders and the hospital.

On Sunday, Lilavati Hospital issued a statement stating, "It has been brought to our notice that various malicious and misleading reports/rumours are floating around in the electronic/print media with regards to the health of Hon. Chief Minister of Goa. We categorically deny all such rumours. We reiterate that Hon. Chief Minister of Goa is being treated and is responding well to the treatment."

"Parrikar's condition is stable and improving. Doctors are constantly monitoring his health and he is positively responding to the treatment. Let's all continue to pray for his speedy recovery and long health," South Goa MP Savoikar told the media.
