Former BSP MP's Son Ashish Pandey Brandishes Gun At 5-Star Hotel In Delhi [WATCH]

In a video that has since gone viral, a man, later identified as Lucknow-based Ashish Pandey, son of former Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) MP Rakesh Pandey, can be seen brandishing a gun and threatening a couple in full public view outside of a 5-star hotel in South Delhi.

The incident took place on late night on October 14 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel and as the video went viral, the Delhi Police took cognizance of the video and registered a case under the Arms Act at the RK Puram Police Station on Monday.

In the video, Pandey can be seen getting involved in an argument with a couple outside the hotel and brandishing his gun.

According to a statement by the Delhi Police, no victim came forward in the case and that they registered the case themselves after a complaint from the hotel manager.

“A complaint from Assistant Security Manager, Hyatt Regency Hotel, R K Puram, has been received regarding the incident that occurred on the intervening night of 13/14 Oct 2018.  A male is seen brandishing a weapon in the footage. Accordingly, a case U/S 25/27 Arms Act has been registered. Legal action is being taken as per law,” the statement added.

The hotel later issued an official statement on the matter:

Ashish Pandey is also the brother of sitting BSP MP from Akbarpur with declared assets of Rs 102 crore in his 2009 election affidavit.
