A massive fire broke out at a prominent hospital in Noida's Sector 12 on Thursday morning.

Local reports said that many people had to be evacuated through glass windows of Metro Hospital even as fire officials reached the spot and began rescue operations.

8 fire tenders and NDRF team rushed to the Noida's Hospital. The fire broke out at 4th to 6th  floor.

The fire was so severe that the surrounding sky had turned black.  Even now many patients are trapped inside the hospital. While the cause of the fire is not yet known, it is feared that many people - many of the patients - may still be trapped in various parts of the hospital.

According to media reports, more than 30 patients have been rescued safely and at least 20 are still stuck inside the hospital.

Metro Hospital chairman Purshotam Lal said that the fire was small in nature and no patient was injured in the accident.
