FIR Against Robert Vadra, Former Haryana CM Hooda Over Alleged Land Grab In Gurugram

Congress leader Sonia Gandhi’s son-in-law Robert Vadra has been booked for alleged irregularities for obtaining land in Gurugram in Haryana along with former Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Hooda, DLF and Onkareshwar Properties, media reported on Saturday.

In the FIR it is alleged that Vadra's company Sky Light Hospitality purchased land in Shikohpur, Sikandarpur, Khedki Daula and Sihi in Gurgaon's Sector 83 for Rs 7.5 crore and sold for Rs. 55 crore after a change in its classification.

The FIR was registered at Kherki Daula police station in Gurugram, Manesar Deputy Commissioner of Police Rajesh Kumar told PTI.

Speaking on the alleged land scam Vadra said, "Election season, increase in oil let’s divert real people’s issues with my decade-old issue. What’s new?."

Involved in FIR Hooda has said, “It’s a politically motivated FIR through a private complaint. People now know this Govt's intentions, elections are near and they have found nothing against us. It is just their frustration.”

On the other hand, reacting to the FIR against Vadra and Hooda, current Chief Minister of Haryana Manohar Lal Khattar told ANI that, “Our fight against corruption is on. Those found guilty will be punished probe is underway by different agencies in different cases. This FIR filed by a brave citizen will also be probed.”

The person who had registered the FIR has been identified as Surinder Sharma, a resident of Nuh.
