Election Campaign: PM Modi Asks Voters, To Exercise Their Franchise; ‘Modi Hai Toh Mumkin Hai’ Slogan Chorus The Rally

Prime minister Narendra Modi on Sunday addressed the rally and asked voters, especially debutants, to exercise their franchise.

Modi also focused on “Sabka Sath Sabka Vikas” plank, and Modi’s emphasis on initiatives towards empowering the common man, along with claims about strong retaliation against terrorists and their patrons, indicates the party’s poll strategy of seeking votes on the planks of development and national security.

During the rally, Modi stated “Today, 50 crore Indians have access to good quality and free healthcare. Forty-two crore people of the unorganized sector have access to an old-age pension. 12 crore farmer households get yearly monetary support of Rs 6,000. Crores of middle-class families are exempt from income tax.”

As the party prepared to campaign on the ‘Modi Hai To Mumkin Hai’ slogan, the PM said, “Today, the people of India know that it is possible to become the fastest growing economy, give a befitting reply to terror, eliminate poverty at a record pace, make India swachh, remove corruption and punish the corrupt, and ensure inclusive and extensive development.”

Modi said the last five years had shown that with the blessings and participation of 130 crore Indians, what was earlier and participation of 130 crore Indians, what was earlier deemed impossible had now become possible. “2019 polls are about a spirit of confidence and positivity with which India is fulfilling the aspirations of its people,” he added.

The PM said in 2014, the people comprehensively rejected the UPA as there was unprecedented anger over corruption, nepotism and policy paralysis. “India’s self-confidence was at an all-time low and the people of India wanted to rid the nation of such decay and pessimism,” he added.

Whereas, Amit Shah said “Our nation is no longer helpless in the wake of terror attacks. Any force attempting to disturb peace and harmony is being given a befitting response. This is a New India.”

Schemes like Jan Dhan Yojana , Ujjwala, Mudra Yojana, Ayushman Bharat and PM Awas Yojana and their transformational results were showcased in the rally by Shah.

Shah also added “Under the visionary leadership of Modi, Indian economy has emerged as the fastest growing economy. The NDA government undertook unprecedented reforms which made doing business in India easier than ever before.”
