The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has filed a supplementary charge-sheet against RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav's daughter Misa Bharti, her husband Shailesh Kumar and others in Delhi's Patiala House Court on January 4.

The first charge sheet filed by the ED against Misa Bharti and husband was on December 23 last year pertaining their connection to a Delhi farmhouse in alleged Rs 8000 crore money laundering case. However, the court has pulled up the authorities for filing another supplementary charge sheet.

"By filing supplementary charge-sheet whole trail getting disturbed," the court said before announcing that the matter will be taken up on February 5. After Lalu Prasad Yadav got convicted in the fodder case, his family members were already in shock but Misa Bharti's money laundering case is not making it any easy for the Yadav family.

The farmhouse in question is located at 26, Palam Farms in south Delhi's Bijwasan area. It was attached provisionally under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) and reportedly belongs to Misa and her husband under the fake name "Ms Mishail Packers and Printers Private Limited", confirmed the central probe agency.

The ED has alleged that the farmhouse was bought by the accused couple in 2008-09 by "using Rs 1.2 crore involved in money laundering". A supplementary charge sheet was filed against Bharti's chartered accountant Rajesh Agrawal during the July probe.

Among the 35 accused in money laundering case including the businessmen brothers, Surendra Jain and Virendra Jain, Agrawal's name surfaced for converting black money into a legal source of income through dubious transactions. He is accused of helping Misa's husband's company, Mishail Packers and Printers Pvt Ltd "with similar transactions".

Bharti was earlier questioned by ED regarding her involvement in the money laundering case of Rs 1.2 crore whereas three premises belonging to Bharti and her husband were raided in Delhi. The properties are located in the high-class localities of Ghitorni, Bijwasan and Sainik Farms.
