Dr Kafeel Khan’s brother Kashif Jameel Khan was shot at by unknown people in Gorakhpur on Sunday evening. As per reports his brother was shot thrice and received bullet injuries on his neck, arm, and shoulder and was admitted to a private hospital in a critical condition.

Kashif Jameel was shot by motorcycle-borne assailants in the Durgabadi area of Gorakhpur. Kashif was on his scooty when he was shot at.

In a video posted on Twitter, Dr. Kafeel Khan said, “The bullets have been removed, the operation has been successful and he is in ICU in stable condition now. He got three bullet injuries. Who attacked him is not known but this happened 500 metres from Gorakhnath Mandir where the Chief Minister was sleeping.”

Dr. Khan alleged that the UP Police officers tried to delay the operation of his brother in the garb of getting a medico-legal case. Khan says that the cops made them run from one hospital to another wasting one crucial hour.

Dr. Kafeel Khan was recently granted bail after spending 8 months in prison. He was booked as an accused in the Gorakhpur BRD Medical college tragedy in which several children died because of lack of oxygen supply.
