Rashtriya Janata Dal leader and former Bihar deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav on Thursday announced that his party would undertake a daylong agitation in protest of the Karnataka Governor’s decision of inviting BS Yeddyurappa to form the Government.

Tejashwi satirically demanded the Bihar Governor to dissolve the Nitish Kumar Government on the lines of Karnataka and invite Rashtriya Janata Dal, which is the single largest party in the state.

“I am demanding this on BJP’s logic,” wrote Tejashwi.

The Bihar Assembly Elections took place in November 2015 with RJD, JD (U) and Congress forming a pre-poll grand alliance. In the 243-member assembly, RJD emerged as a single largest party with 80 seats, followed by JD (U) with 71 seats and BJP with 53 seats. The Mahagathbandhan formed the Government with Nitish Kumar as Chief Minister and Tejashwi Yadav as his deputy.

The alliance did not last long as CM Nitish Kumar broke the Mahagathbandhan and formed Government with BJP as his alliance partner. Sushil Modi was appointed his deputy and Tejashwi Yadav became the leader of Opposition.

Taking a dig at Tejashwi Yadav, deputy CM Sushil Kumar Modi tweeted, “Why are those who lost their govt to benami properties comparing their situation to that in Karnataka?”

On Monday Tejashwi had tweeted, “If single largest party is being invited inspite of INC & JDS alliance having more numbers than required then we demand Hon. President to dismiss Bihar govt thru Governor & invite single largest party of Bihar to form govt as BJP is in Bihar govt due to post poll alliance.”
