Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's fallout with Lieutenant-Governor Anil Baijal has drawn attention far off states but the fight for authority is yet to culminate. As AAP leader got a whiff of Delhi LG's presence at the NITI Aayog meeting, he lashed out on Twitter.

After a report claimed the presence of the Constitutional head at the meeting, Kejriwal asked under which provision did Baijal went to represent him at the meet as he had not "authorised" the LG. Though NITI Aayog Chief Executive Officer Amitabh Kant was quick to clear the false rumour.

Describing the report as "totally incorrect", Kant confirmed, "Lt. Governor of Delhi is not present at the Fourth Meeting of the Governing Council of NITI Aayog." After the clarification, the misleading tweet which Kejriwal quoted was deleted by the user.

The fourth meeting of Niti Aayog's Governing Council chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi was organised at Rashtrapati Bhawan on Sunday with the main agenda of deliberating upon measures taken to double farmers' income and the progress of government's flagship schemes.

Four non-BJP Chief Ministers - West Bengal’s Mamata Banerjee, Andhra Pradesh’s Chandrababu Naidu, Kerala’s Pinarayi Vijayan and Karnataka’s HD Kumaraswamy who expressed solidarity with their Delhi counterpart Arvind Kejriwal on his strike against LG reached to attend the meet.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal along with Deputy CM Manish Sisodia and Cabinet ministers Satyendra Jain and Gopal Rai has been on a sit-in protest at Raj Niwas since Monday demanding the Lt Governor Anil Baijal to issue directions for ending IAS officers 'undeclared strike'.
