Delhi CM Kejriwal and AAP Leaders On Dharna At Governor's Residence, Satyendra Jain On Hunger Strike

The ongoing AAP-LG clash saga has taken a new turn with Delhi Chief Minister Kejriwal and other AAP leaders sitting on a dharna and Health Minister Satyendra Jain sitting on an indefinite hunger strike at Raj Niwas, the official residence of the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, Anil Baijal.

The Delhi Health Minister along with the Chief Minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal and some other top leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) went to meet the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, Anil Baijal with demands to end the four months strike by IAS officers working under the Delhi Government.

They also asked the Lieutenant Governor to issue orders that all those IAS officers who do not return to work shall be proceeded against and if necessary ESMA may be invoked against them, take action against those officers who have "stalled" work till now and approve the doorstep delivery of ration scheme of the AAP government.

Security was tightened around the area and the police have barricaded the roads near Raj Niwas in the dread that the AAP functionaries and MLAs may create converge outside. In protest AAP ministers, MLAs and party workers have gathered outside the house of the Chief Minister which is a few kilometres from Raj Niwas.

According to media reports, a group of doctor’s also visited to take a check on the health minister’s medical condition.
