Delhi Chief Secretary, Anshu Prakash has alleged that he was assaulted by two Aam Aadmi Party MLAs, at the residence of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday evening.

Chief Secretary has stated that he was attacked in the presence of Arvind Kejriwal during a discussion on the government's plan to provide services to the citizens.

However, Chief Minister’s office has denied the allegations made by Anshu saying, “Delhi CM office strongly denies allegations by the Chief Secretary. There was no incident of assault or attempted assault by any AAP MLAs.”

Aam Aadmi Party has come out with a detailed statement debunking the allegations, calling them ludicrous.

Delhi Congress chief Ajay Maken condemned the act. He tweeted, "Kejriwal should apologise for this hooliganism which took place before him. AAP Govt is unable to deliver-Beating of Chief Secretary by MLAs in front of CM is another low & is aimed to divert attention from Govt failures! AAP does not know Governance and has failed miserably."

Delhi BJP President Manoj Tiwari tweeted, "Arvind Kejriwal and his Goon MLAs misbehaved and threatened the Chief secretary of NCT Delhi Government last night, another shameful act of Aam Admi Party Goons, it is an act of Urban Naxalism."

IAS Association met the Delhi LG asking him to initiate action. Association Secretary Manisha Saxena, said, "We met LG and put forward our concerns. Chief Secy was called for a meeting late at night; CM, Dy CM & MLAs were there, when CS reached he was roughed up. Since few years such things have been happening, officers have been insulted & humiliated."
