Dead Bodies Of Four Andhra Pradesh Engineering Students Recovered From Krishna River

The dead bodies of four Andhra Pradesh engineering students who drowned yesterday in Krishna River were recovered at Pavitra Sangamam in Ibrahimpatnam of Krishna District find out on Sunday.

As per Police, one of the students from the group had crossed the safety railing that led the whole incident. This heart-shattering incident took place when the boy slipped into the river and others attempted to rescue him but failed and lost their lives as well.

The four students have been identified as Praveen K (Age 18), Krishna Chaitanya Reddy (Age 18), Raj Kumar Pilla (Age 19) and Srinadh N (Age 19). All four were studying at MIC Engineering College, KanchiKacharla, Andhra Pradesh.

Almost 100 personnel from National Disaster Force (NDRF), State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and Navy divers from the Eastern Naval Command were involved in the search operation. The search operation was called off late night on Saturday and was resumed on Sunday.

Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu had directed the officials to spare no effort in the rescue operation. Krishna District Collector Vijay Krishna and other top officials had rushed to the spot of incidence on Saturday.

Vijay Krishna said, “Everything happened in a matter of minutes before patrol teams arrive to incident place to save them.”

Last year too, an accident had happened in Krishna River when nearly 16 people died as an overloaded boat turned near Vijayawada.
