A confident Rahul Gandhi on Sunday claimed that the Congress party will not only win the upcoming Karnataka Legislative Assembly Elections but will also win the upcoming elections in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan as well as the 2019 General Elections.

Addressing the Jan Aakrosh Rally at the Ramlila Grounds in New Delhi the Congress President launched a scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the NDA Government.

The Congress President began his speech by raking up the issue of corruption.

“Modi ji comes to Karnataka and says he is fighting corruption flanked by BJP’s CM candidate Yeddyurappa ji on his right; the man who went to jail for corruption. On the other side, there are four ministers who too have been to jail. The nation and Karnataka wonder what the Prime Minister is saying.”

Invoking Piyush Goyal and Nirav Modi, Gandhi said, “Piyush Goyal does not declare his own company and becomes a minister. Later he sells his company to a power company for 48 crores; for the first time a power minister sells his own company to a power company and Modi ji doesn’t say a word. Nirav Modi takes away 30,000 crores and Modi ji doesn’t say a word.”

“The army says it does not have money to buy weapons. Manmohan Singh Ji’s Government bought Raphael planes for 700 crores and gave the contract to Hindustan Aeronautical Limited. Modiji goes to France and changed the contract without the knowledge of Defense Minister. Modi Ji doubled the price of the plane and gave the HAL contract to his industrialist friend whose company is in 45000 crores debt.” Rahul said.

He also brought up Justice Loya case and the press conference of SC judges and alleged that RSS people were being planted in every institution from courts to ECI, IITs and even as OSD’s to ministers and said institutions were being destroyed.

Gandhi said that Indian Youth had believed Modi Ji when he promised 2 crore jobs. However, unemployment was on a high. “Demonetisation and Gabbar Singh Tax destroyed the backbone of the informal sector, left crores of youth jobless, and destroyed small vendors and Modi ji talks of employment,” Rahul added.

Gandhi spoke of the rising atrocities on Dalits, minorities, and tribals and questioned why Modi Ji was silent. He also raked up the issue of atrocities against women and rapes in Kathua and Unnao.

Gandhi also criticised PM Modi on his China visit. “I read in a newspaper that the Indian PM and Chinese President were having tea on an agenda-free discussion. The Chinese army is inside Dokhlam, China is creating helipads and Indian PM is sitting in China for an agenda-less discussion. Our PM did not say a word on Doklam, what kind of a PM is this?”

A confident Rahul Gandhi said that BJP and RSS machinery had lied to the nation about Congress and UPA Government in 2014 but now people are able to see Modi’s truth. Addressing cadres he said the media had predicted not more than 25 seats in Gujarat, Congress cadres however, braved the misuse of all institutions and sent Modiji in a seaplane. Modi Ji was shaken and narrowly escaped defeat in Gujarat, now Congress cadres will show him the result in Karnataka.

“We will Karnataka, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and the 2019 elections because our cadres are like cubs of lions. They are the soldiers of truth.”

Surprisingly Gandhi also took up Salman Khurshid’s controversial statement where he had admitted that Congress party had Muslim blood on its hands. He said, “At times there are different opinions in our party. Like a few days ago Salman Khurshid Ji gave a different opinion and I am willing to accept that I will accommodate different opinions. I will defend Salman Khurshid but will also say that we have to take on RSS and BJP unitedly.”

Ending his speech Gandhi asked the Congress cadres for 10-15 days leave to visit Kailash Mansarovar. He said he got the thought of visiting Kailash during the airplane incident a few days ago.
