Despite former Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi yadav's numerous requests to let him retain the palatial bungalow that he renovated at a considerable amount of public money, the JD(U) has made it abundantly clear that he will have to vacate the official residence.

The Bihar Chief Minister had on Monday targeted the young Yadav saying, "One should not develop any personal attachment towards a government facility. Today I am on the seat, but it is not permanent."

Since the JD(U) supremo has replaced his political alignment with BJP and appointed Sushil Kumar Modi as the Deputy Chief Minister, he wants the new second-in-command to reside in the bungalow.

Tejashwi's sharp attack on the Chief Minister for flipping sides may also be a factor why Nitish Kumar won't listen to any argument from the RJD leader's side.

Earlier, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had resigned as the Chief Minister of 'mahagathbandhan' led Bihar government, only to re-form the government the very next day aligning with the National Democratic Alliance (NDA).

Angry with the Chief Minister for abandoning them in time of need, the RJD leader Lalu Yadav and son Tejashwi Yadav have been taking out a campaign throughout bihar against the JD(U) leader.

The government is asking the RJD leader to move into the 1, Polo Road bungalow, which is just a few kilometres away.

The Bungalow was first allotted to BJP leader Sushil Modi when he had first become the Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar in 2005. However, he was allowed to retain the house even after the Nitish Kumar ended his 17-year-old alliance with BJP in 2013.

This is also one of Tejashwi's primary arguments for letting him reside in his bungalow.

The government, in response has claimed that the 5, Circular Road bungalow is designated as the official residence of Bihar Deputy Chief Minister, throwing out his claims.

Father Lalu Yadav had also came out defending Tejashwi saying, "He has no love for the bungalow."
