CBSE Paper Leak Protests: Police Impose Section 144 Outside HRD Prakash Javdekar's Residence

The Delhi Police on Friday imposed Section 144 outside HRD minister Prakash Javadekar’s house on Kushak Road in Delhi to fend off protesting students. Students and their parents are protesting against the CBSE's order of re-examination for Class 12 Economics and Class 10 Mathematics papers due to paper leaks.

The students are demanding either the re-examination of all subjects or no re-examinations at all.

Delhi Police PRO Madhur Verma said "We have beefed up security and the Rapid Action Force is on standby. Same measures have been taken for areas around Parliament House."

According to reports, students with banners and posters in their hands protested and created a ruckus outside CBSE building in Preet Vihar, Udyog Bhawan (Janpath) and Jantar Mantar in Delhi. Apart from Delhi, protests against CBSE took place in Ludhiana and Kanpur as well.

Protesters also coined slogans against the board, saying they have to suffer because of mistake was done by CBSE. Students raised their voice against the mismanagement and careless attitude of the CBSE, that kept the future and career of the students at risk.

Some days back CBSE has decided to re-conduct examinations for Mathematics paper of Class X and Economics paper of Class XII. The dates for re-conducting the maths and economics exams for Class 10 and 12 respectively have not been announced yet. Around 28 lakh students have been affected by the paper leaks.
