Canadian PM Justin Trudeau Begins 7-Day Visit To India With Family

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has begun his 7-day visit to India on Saturday along with his family and Canadian delegations.

Accompanied by his five ministers, including Foreign Minister Chrystia Freeland, Science and Economic Development Minister Navdeep Bains, Defence Minister Harjit Singh Sajjan, Science and Sports Minister Kirsty Duncan and Infrastructure Minister Amarjeet Sohi, PM Trudeau will review the progress achieved in bilateral relations between India and Canada.

Trudeau will also exchange views to intensify defence and security cooperation. The Canadian Prime Minister has his entire schedule planned for seven days. Here are the details:

1. The Canadian PM is scheduled to visit Taj Mahal on Sunday and will travel to Ahmedabad the next day, where he will visit Sabarmati Ashram.

2. Trudeau is also scheduled to visit Akshardham temple in Gujarat where he is expected to participate in an event at IIM-Ahmedabad on "Education and Investment Opportunities".

3. On Tuesday, he will visit Mumbai to hold meetings with representatives of Indian Film industry and top business leaders to explore various opportunities in the field of cinema.

4. Following his interaction with film experts and leaders, he will travel to Amritsar to visit the Golden Temple and will land in Delhi later that day.

5. Thursday is planned to visit Jama Masjid and a cricket ground in Delhi besides addressing a social event of Canadian and Indian business pioneers.

6. PM Trudeau will hold wide-ranging talks with Prime Minister Modi on Friday. The next day, Trudeau will address a meeting of young change-makers before concluding his visit.
