'BJP Govt Is Punishing The Corrupt And Rewarding The Honest': PM Modi Says In Varanasi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited his Lok Sabha constituency Varanasi on Tuesday, where he addressed a public meeting and laid the foundation stones of projects worth Rs 2,900 crore.

PM Modi also visited the Sant Ravidas temple on the occasion of Ravidas Jayanti and laid the foundation stone of Ravidas Janmasthali (birthplace) area development project.

Under this project, a grand park will be developed with a beautiful status of the Bhakti Movement seer.

PM Narendra Modi flagged off World’s first Diesel to Electric Locomotive Engine by DLW in Varanasi, UP.

The Prime Minister said, “We brought quota for poor so that those marginalised can lead a dignified life. This government is punishing the corrupt and rewarding the honest.”

“Our govt working on several projects which will help the marginalised,” said PM Modi in his development pitch in Varanasi.

Addressing the rally, PM said, “till there’s caste-based discrimination, humans won’t be able to connect with each other. There won’t be any equality in the society."

"If we would have followed the path showed by Sant Ravidas, our society wouldn’t have been so corrupt But, unfortunately, this couldn’t happen,” he added.

Speaking on the occasion, Modi said that the government is has launched several schemes to uplift the backwards and help them join the mainstream.

The Prime Minister will also inaugurate a sewage treatment plant at Goithaha, drinking water project under Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission, dairy food project at Ramnagar, and three beautified parks under the Smart City.
