An explosion reportedly took place at Harkhein Kumar Jain Dharamshala in Bihar's Arrah city on February 15th. One person was injured in the explosion, which is being suspected of having a connection with a possible terrorist attack.

Police rushed to the spot and took the injured to a local hospital for treatment.

After the hospital, the police took the injured to an undisclosed location and questioned him following which it came to light that a major terror attack might have been planned in Arrah, a city 70 km from Patna.

As per the police report, 5 suspected terrorists reached Patna at 5 am in a train from Kolkata. Later they checked into Harkhein Kumar Dharamshala. As soon as these suspects got into their room in the Dharamshala, there was a low-intensity blast in their luggage.

Superintendent of Police, Arrah town, Avkash Kumar said, "There were five people in the room, out of which one is injured and has been sent to the hospital. Their purpose can only be identified after the investigation."

Kumar added, "One Aadhaar card and a pistol have been recovered from the room."

According to the reports the other four suspects were managed to escape. Police have started the investigation.

Terrorist attacks have been taking place in increasing frequency in the Jammu and Kashmir region, with militant groups Lashkar-e-Toiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed being suspect. However, so far no major terrorist strikes have been reported from other parts of the country.
