Bihar: 3 Men Lynched For Attempting Kidnap Of An 11 Year Old

Three men who were allegedly trying to kidnap an 11-year-old girl from inside her school in Bihar’s Begusarai district were killed by a mob on Friday. The Station House Officer of Chhaurahi Police Station was suspended after the incidence.

ADG Bihar Police said, “3 criminals went to a school, asked a teacher for a particular student & aimed a pistol at her. This created panic in school. Hearing the noise,villagers gathered & to save teacher & the student, beat the 3, injuring them. One died on spot, other 2 died in hospital.”

According to media reports, The incident took place at about 10.30 AM when four men on two motorcycles reached the primary school in the crime-prone district and started looking for the girl. When headmistress of the school, Neema Kumari informed them that the girl was absent from the school, one of the miscreants pulled out a pistol, seeing which Kumari fainted and collapsed. Panic-stricken students then started screaming and running.

An FIR has been lodged in connection. Investigations are on. Meanwhile, the Chhaurahi Police Station in-charge was suspended for negligence in the ongoing investigation.

Teachers of the school put up a resistance following which the miscreants threatened to open fire, the SP told the media, adding that other school children ran out in the meantime and raised an alarm.
