‘Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain Fame’ Shilpa Shinde Joins Congress

Ahead of the Lok Sabha 2019 polls television actress Shilpa Shinde popularly known for her role in Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain joined Congress on Tuesday.

She officially joined Congress party in the presence of party leader Sanjay Nirupam and Mumbai Congress Committee and party leader Charan Singh Sapra.

The actress made her debut on the small screen in 1999 but it was a soap opera titled Bhabhi, which brought the spotlight on her in 2002. The actor then gained massive popularity after she played Angoori Bhabhi in TV sitcom Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hai.

Shilpa has also been the winner of a popular reality show big boss season 11. The actor has also worked in a couple of Telugu films. The actor had also appeared in a few other projects including Entertainment Ki Raat, Jio Dhan Dhana Dhan, and Dus Ka Dum.

A few days ago, the actor quit the micro-blogging site, Twitter after some people left negative comments regarding her family.

Shilpa Shinde was born on 28 August 1977 in a Maharashtrian middle-class family and her father Dr. Satyadeo Shinde was the judge of a High Court while mother Geeta Satyadeo Shinde is a homemaker. She has two elder sisters and a younger brother Ashutosh.
