According to sources, while the purpose of the meeting has been described as "open-ended for now" speculation is rife that Haasan is considering an alliance with the Aam Aadmi Party if he decides to float his own party.

"It's too early to say what lies ahead," sources said.

Based from Delhi, AAP has been trying to expand into other states and establish itself as a national party. AAP fought in the Goa and Punjab assembly elections earlier this year, and while it lost in Goa, AAP became the main Opposition party in Punjab.
