Air Chief Marshal BS Dhanoa on Monday told that the Indian Air Force doesn’t count how many people died. The Air Chief Marshal also refused to comment on the number of casualties in the Balakot airstrike.

Speaking to media in Coimbatore, Dhanoa said,  "IAF is not in a postilion to clarify the number of casualties. The government will clarify that. We don’t count human casualties, we count what targets we have hit or not."

When asked about the present situation on the border, he said, "It is an ongoing operation I will not comment on it."

"If we plan to hit the target, we hit the target, If we had dropped bombs in the jungle, then no need for him [Pakistan] to respond," he added.

The Air Chief Marshal BS Dhanoa also said, "The MiG-21 Bison is a capable aircraft, it has been radar, air-to-air missiles and better weapons system."
