AgustaWestland Scam: Delhi Court Grants Regular Bail To Dubai Based Businessman Rajiv Saxena

A Delhi court on Monday has granted bail to Dubail based businessman Rajiv Saxena who has been arrested in the Rs. 3,600-crore AgustaWestland money-laundering case.

Earlier, the Patiala House court of Delhi granted interim bail to Rajiv Saxena, a co-accused in AgustaWestland chopper scam case. Saxena got interim bail till February 25 on two bail sureties of Rs 5 lakh each.

Saxena was arrested in a money laundering case related to AgustaWestland scam. The court delivered its judgment after examining a medical report submitted by the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) on him.

The court had directed the AIIMS to prepare a report on his medical condition.

The court had also directed the Tihar jail authorities to allow Saxena to take necessary medicines and use sleep apnea machine.

It is learnt that Rajiv Saxena was arrested in Dubai last month and had been in custody since January 31. He had been earlier sent to jail till February 18.

Special Judge Arvind Kumar granted the relief to Rajiv Saxena after perusing the medical reports filed by the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS).

The court had on February 14 granted interim bail for seven days to Rajiv Saxena and had asked AIIMS to file a detailed medical report on Rajiv Saxena's health.
