Nine years after their daughter was murdered and four years after they were held guilty of the murder of Aarushi Talwar by a lower court, Rajesh and Nupur Talwar were exonerated by the Allahabad High Court on Thursday.

The Judgement was pronounced by a two-member Allahabad High Court bench, which said conviction can’t be based on suspicion and they have to be given benefit of doubt.

The Allahabad High Court, allowing the appeal by the Talwars, said that the couple cannot be held guilty as per circumstances & evidence on record.

On the other hand, CBI has said that they are waiting for the copy of the judgement and will decide on the next course of action after studying it.

Addressing the media after the hearing, Lawyer of Rajesh & Nupur Talwar have said that the couple has been acquitted and are expected to be released from the Dasna jail by tomorrow.

Jailor of Dasna prison, DR Maurya has said that Rajesh and Nupur Talwar are happy. The official said that the couple is saying that they have got justice.
