69th Republic Day Parade: India Celebrates Its Culture, Tradition And Patriotism

The entire nation is drowned in the joy of India's 69th Republic day while the top-notch diplomats and leaders of the country have gathered for the ceremonial parade at Rajpath, presided over by President Ram Nath Kovind.

While the grand parade fills the hearts of viewers with patriotism and pride each year special, the reason for it being extra-special pertains to the presence of 10 leaders of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations or ASEAN as guests of honour.

Beginning from Amar Jawan Jyoti at India Gate where PM Modi paid homage to soldiers of India who lost their lives in the line of duty, the parade went to salute the unsung heroes by the 21-gun firing salute, followed by the unfurling of tricolour.

The annual celebration witnessed the nation's military on full display along with the security services. To ensure that the grandeur culminates without any hassle, as thousands have arrived to observe the grand commemoration, entire national capital has been wrapped in a security blanket.

To ensure the proper security details, Special teams, anti-aircraft guns and snipers have been deployed on the eight-km parade route from Rajpath to Red Fort. The 69th Republic Day parade also witnessed the 10 ASEAN flag being carried along individually.

Drones along with Hundreds of CCTV cameras are scrutinizing people's movements along the parade route. Nearly 60,000 security personnel from the Delhi Police and central security forces have been deployed in Central Delhi.
