62.37% Polling In Gujarat Round 2 Till 4 PM, Exit Poll Figures Favor BJP

Voting for the second and final round of the elections for Gujarat legislative elections came to an end at 5pm today. The second round witnessed 62.37% voter turnout. Sabarkantha district registered the highest percentage of voters with 70.61% voters coming out to vote. The final poll percentage will come later in the day.

The results for Gujarat and Himachal will come on 18th December when the votes are counted.

With the end of the high-pitched electoral battle, exit polls have been published by TV channels and agencies, all of them predicting a victory for the incumbent BJP.


Republic-Jan Ki Baat exit poll predicts 108 seats for the BJP and 74 seats for Congress.

Times Now- VMR predicts BJP’s victory with 109 seats while giving 70 seats to Congress and the rest 3 to others.

India Today –Axis exit poll predicts 99-113 seats for BJP and 68-82 seats for the Congress party.

Gujarat legislative assembly has 182 seats, 92 seats are needed to form government.
