4 Terrorists Spots In Army Uniform, Police Takes Under Arrest

Punjab police took four terrorists into custody from Nagpur village in Pathankot- Jalandhar national highway, on Friday. They were dressed in army uniforms and were driving a stolen car.

Around seven days back six suspected terrorists were spotted in army uniform in Pathankot and the moment police arrived at the spot, they escaped from the place.

Search operations were being carried out by the police to find suspected terrorists.

According to media reports the suspected men had introduced themselves as Army soldiers and refused to pay the toll. When they reached Madhopur, one of them pointed a gun towards the driver and pushed him outside.

The police were checking the vehicles on a check post. On suspicion during the checking, the police took four men, travelling in a Scorpio car (HP- 22B-8700), into custody.

According to media reports, these four men seized an Innova taxi from its driver at gunpoint near Madhopur area in Punjab’s Pathankot district a few days back.

The men had hired the taxi from Jammu Railway Station to Madhopur Railway Station but fled with the vehicle after entering Punjab.

Earlier this month, Punjab police had issued an alert across the state after reports of Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) terrorist Zakir Moosa’s presence in Amritsar. The police had released the posters of Moosa and requested people to stay alert and share any information related to the terrorist.

The police had been interrogating the suspects and trying to ascertain their identities.
