23 Ministers Take Oath to Join Ashok Gehlot Cabinet [Know The Names]

Rajasthan chief minister Ashok Gehlot expanded his cabinet with the swearing in of 23 ministers - 13 cabinet and 10 state ministers on Monday in Jaipur.

According to media reports, sources in Congress revealed that seventeen of the 23 members are first-time ministers.

They were administered the oath of office by Rajasthan Governor Kalyan Singh and the swearing-in ceremony was attended by Gehlot, Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot and other Congress leaders.

The Congress won 99 seats in the state assembly, bouncing back from the drubbing in the 2013 elections when the party won just 21 seats.

In Rajasthan, Gehlot had forwarded a list of 40 contenders for ministerial berths to Congress president Rahul Gandhi for the cabinet expansion.

Gehlot and his deputy, Sachin Pilot, returned to Jaipur on Sunday after Gandhi approved the list of the inductees.
