In an unusual case, 11 dead bodies were found on Sunday in a house in Delhi's Burari area. From the deceased, 7 are female and 4 are men. While 10 were found hanging in a suspicious state, one was found lying on the floor. All of the 11 are said to be members of one family and owned a grocery shop. The ages of the victims ranged between 15 to 50 years.

According to a statement from the Joint Commissioner of Police (CP) of Delhi, investigations are currently underway and and nothing has been ruled out.

"Bodies of 7 women and 4 men including three teenagers have been found. We are investigating from all possible angles, we are not ruling out anything," said to ANI.

The deceased have been identified as two brothers Bhupinder Singh and Lalit Singh, their wives, two daughters and two teenage sons, their elderly mother and sisters. While Bhupinder ran a grocery store from the ground floor of their home, Lalit worked as a carpenter. The elderly mother's dead body was found lying on the ground and police suspect that she was murdered by asphyxiation.

However, the police reportedly believe that one of the deceased murdered the others and then committed suicide. The eyes and mouths of the dead bodies were found to have been tied shut with a piece of cloth.
