'JeM Has Been Given Patronage In Pakistan', Says Foreign Secretary Vijay Gokhale

Indian Air Force on early Tuesday morning crossed the Line of Control and carried out aerial strikes at multiple targets on terrorist camps.

After IAF terror strike a press conference was held by Foreign Secretary Vijay Gokhale, in which he stated, "In an intelligence lead operation in the early hours today, India struck the biggest training camp of Jaish-e-Mohammed in Balakot. In this operation, a very large number of JeM terrorists, trainers, senior commander, and Jihadis were eliminated. The camp was led by Maulana Yusuf Azhar alias Ustad Ghauri, the brother-in-law of JeM chief Masood Azhar."

"Credible intelligence was received that Jaish-e-Mohammed was attempting another suicide terror attack in various parts of the country and fidayeen jihadis were being trained for this purpose," added Gokhale.

Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi alleges that India has conducted a violation of the Line of Control and his country reserves the right to an appropriate response.

According to the media reports “around 200-300 casualties were feared and Pakistan drone shot down in Gujarat's Kutch area and that air strikes in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa region were based on locations.”
