Jindal Art Institute Inaugurated With Classical And Contemporary Dance Performances

The inaugural showcase of the Jindal Art Institute (JAI) of India, a brainchild of renowned Kuchipudi dancer and social contributor Shallu Jindal took place on Saturday, marking the launch of the institute which aims to spread far and wide the rich artistic heritage of India and the world by exploring various dance forms.

The event began with the lighting of the lamp by Smt. Savitri Jindal, Chairperson Emeritus, JSPL along with Smt. Shallu Jindal, Founder JAI and Shri Naveen Jindal, Chairman, JSPL. Padma Vibhushan and Rajya Sabha MP Shri Raghunath Mahapatra was also present at the occasion.

The evening also witnessed performances in Zumba, Lyrical Contemporary, Odissi, Mohiniyattam, and Kathak.

In her welcome address, Smt. Shallu Jindal said, “Jindal Art Institute (JAI) hopes to be a place that is instrumental in helping people achieve and unleash their hidden potential.’’ 

“The institute will try and explore the strengths and exclusivity of every student be it young or adult and teach them to achieve perfection and excellence,” she added.

“JAI is a dream come true and it’s a salute to Indian and international artists. The institute will also collaborate with both Indian and international artists to unleash the potential of vast talent that the country has to offer,” Shallu Jindal said.

The Jindal Art Institute offers classes in Kuchipudi, Kathak, Salsa, Belly Dancing, Zumba, Yoga, Theatre, Vocal Music, Piano, Guitar, Tabla, Flute, and many more, and is located near Katwaria Sarai in Delhi.
