J K Rowling, the author of the legendary Harry Potter book series made one fan's dreams come true all the way in a remote school in a Chenab valley village in Jammu as she sent a young girl a box full of gifts and goodies.

On April 26, a teacher from the Haji Public School in Jammu had shared an essay on J K Rowling written by a 12-year-old fan, student Kulsum Banoo Bhat, in which the first generation English learner expressed her dream to meet the famous writer.

As the essay went viral, it was responded to by Rowling, who asked for Kulsum's full name to 'send her something'.

Months later, on Saturday, a package arrived from London, sent by J K Rowling herself for Kulsum. The package included a box-set of the 7-part Harry Potter series, stationary items and other goodies, along with a personal note from Rowling.

“I have sent some things. I hope you like them. I am also impressed by your English. It would be an honour to meet you one day. With Love,” the note from Rowling read.

In a series of tweets, Kulsum's teacher shared the experience of the Class receiving the precious gifts.

"Today was our last day of class before Term 1 exams and look what arrived in the mail. GIFTS FROM JKR with personalized notes for Kulsum. All of class 7 (along with their director @imsabbah ) lost their minds," Kulsum’s teacher tweeted.

The teacher also shared a series of videos of the unboxing of the gift:

The director of the school, Sabbah Haji thanked Rowling in a tweet, saying, "Hello, world. So @jk_rowling sent a huge gift box for Kulsum and friends. Handwritten note, inscribed book, and this is almost too much to handle… We are so thrilled and squeaky, I cannot even. Thank you so much, Ms Rowling.”
