Tamil Nadu's Anukreethy Vas Crowned Femina Miss India World 2018

Miss Anukreethy Vas from Tamil Nadu who is a 19-year-old student pursuing BA in French from Loyola College on Tuesday has been crowned Femina Miss India World 2018. The pageant was held at Dome, NSCI stadium in Mumbai and was hosted by Karan Johar and Ayushmann Khurrana.

Meenakshi Chaudhary from Haryana was the first runner-up while Shreya Rao Kamavarapu from Andhra Pradesh bagged the second runner-up position. The winners were crowned by the previous year winners Miss World 2017 Manushi Chhillar, Miss United Continents 2017 Sana Dua and Miss Intercontinental 2017 Priyanka Kumari for the respective titles at the end of the event.

The panel of judges included cricketers like- Irfan Pathan and KL Rahul and Bollywood actors Malaika Arora, Bobby Deol and Kunal Kapoor. The candidates were also judged by former Miss India 2017, Miss World 2017, Bollywood's top fashion designer Gaurav Gupta and Indian journalist Faye D'Sousza.

The show was herculean and star-studded with top celebrities aggrandized the event with beauty, elegance and glamour.  Bollywood divas Jacqueline Fernandez, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Madhuri Dixit Nene performed and added the glitz and glamour to the event.

This year, the pageant hosted mentors for each of the four zones who helped and guided the contestants throughout their grooming period. The pageant was mentored by Neha Dhupia (Femina Miss India 2002)- North Zone, Rakul Preet Singh (Femina Miss India 2011- 3rd Runner-up)- South Zone, Pooja Chopra(Miss World 2009) - East Zone and Pooja Hegde(Miss Universe 2010-2nd  Runner-up)- West Zone.
