Earlier, popular video chatting app Skype went down across the world on Monday. According to various complaints on Twitter, a micro-blogging site, many users were not able to sign-in on the app as well as the site.

“We’re a bit overloaded right now…Please try again later, or download Skype to use it anytime,” Skype said in its first reaction after sign-in issue.

“We’re working on a fix for this issue and hope to have an update for you soon.”

Clarifying the issue, the video-chat service wrote on its website, only few users were not able to sign-in, make calls because of their service settings which said that their contacts are off-line.

So even, if they were signed-in, their settings was showing them as off-line and they could not make any call using the video-chat service.

Few users were not able to update their status, however, the Skype for Web and instant messaging service were working fine, the company said.
