Another Indian On Twitter Board, Sriram Krishnan Hired As Senior Director

Former Facebook and Snapchat executive, Sriram Krishnan was recently hired by the micro-blogging website, Twitter as the senior director for the product. The India-born will be joining Twitter's board from October 2nd.

Sriram will look into many application based matters including the direct messaging feature, timeline and search. Internally referred as "Bluebird", Krishnan will be responsible for the core features of the main Twitter app.

Krishnan is highly recognised executive near Silicon Valley, San Francisco has worked majorly with ad technology but is willing to explore consumer product role with Twitter.

Sriram left Snapchat's parent company Snap in February this year where he was leading the advertising efforts after working with the organisation for over a year. He was reportedly taking a breather after continuously working since 2013.

Before Snap, he was working with Facebook where he led 'Facebook Audience Network'. Twitter CEO, Jack Dorsey expressed his joy for having Krishnan on his team by tweeting, "So... excited to have you Sriram! Welcome home."

Sriram informed his followers of the news by posting a series of tweets, unable to control his excitement. His tweet read, "I'm going to be joining Twitter and become a part of #theflock to work with the fantastic product team there."
