Pakistan Govt Claims 'Non-State Actors' From India Killed Pak Soldiers, Not Indian Army

India's swift retribution to the death of 4 Indian army men, 1 major and 3 soldiers, by killing 3 Pakistan Army soldiers has been denied by the Government of Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs in an official press release on Tuesday night.

While India has stated that 5 Indian commandos crossed the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch to kill 3 Pakistan Army soldiers at a border post, the Pakistan government claims that the Indian Army simply violated ceasefire to provide cover for 'non-state actors' to pass and plant improvised explosive devices (IEDs) which led to the death of the Pakistani soldiers.

"The false claims by India about the alleged cross LoC adventures are a figment of their imagination and counter-productive for peace and tranquility on the LoC," said an official statement by the Pakistan government's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

"Unprovoked ceasefire violations by Indian occupation forces in the Rakhchikri sector on the LoC, provided a cover for the planting of IEDs by non-state actors, resulting in the shadadat of three soldiers and injuring another," said the statement, referring to the death of the Pakistani soldiers.

The Director-General (SA & SAARC), Dr. Mohammad Faisal "categorically rejected the Indian claims that there was any crossing of the LoC by the Indian forces."

Indian army commandos on Monday night targeted a group of Pakistani soldiers on patrol near a temporary post by triggering an explosion to disorient them. After the explosion, a small unit of the "Ghatak (deadly)" battalion-level commandos crossed 300 m across the LoC and shot the rest of the soldiers in the patrol.

According to reports, the goal of the "localised tactical level operation" which is categorically not being termed as a 'surgical strike' was to send a clear message, that if Pakistani soldiers attack Indian soldiers, there will be a definite response.
