Lashkar-e-Taiba founder Hafiz Saeed recently organised a rally at Liaqat Bagh in Rawalpindi where the Mumbai 2008 attacks mastermind took up the Kashmir issue while addressing the crowd. However, the presence of a Palestinian Ambassador to Pakistan on stage with the JuD chief left the Indians miffed.

The development came as a backstabbing act after India voted in favour of a UN resolution to denounce Washington's decision to recognise Jerusalem as the Israeli capital. Following the photographs of Palestine's Pakistan envoy, Waleed Abu Ali sharing the stage with Hafiz Saeed during the rally started making rounds on social media, India has announced of taking the act "strongly".

Upon getting the whiff of the pictures circulating in media, the External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Raveesh Kumar on Friday said, "We have seen reports in this regard. We are taking up the matter strongly with the Palestinian ambassador in New Delhi and with the Palestinian authorities."

The rally was organised by Difa-e-Pakistan Council which is a coalition of over 40 political and religious parties that often advocate conservative policies and targets India. Several leaders were gathered in the rally and spewed many anti-India remarks while making references to the Kashmir issue.

Reports suggest that the meeting which took place on Friday in the presence of UN-recognised global terrorist Hafiz Saeed dealt with the matter of pressurising Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi to call for an Islamic Summit Conference against the transfer of Israeli capital to Jerusalem.

India was left "surprised and shocked" at the presence of Palestinian envoy in the rally as it indirectly lends credibility to the terrorist leader who has a bounty on his head for arranging multiple attacks on India and involvement in terrorist activities.
