Former Pakistani cricketer Shahid Afridi made headlines on April 3 with his angry tweet suggesting his worry over the current situation of residents in the India-occupied Kashmir. However, his reference didn't sit well with the Indians who criticised him for his illogical statement.
Now, former Indian opener and Delhi Daredevils' skipper in the forthcoming IPL, Gautam Gambhir has posted a cryptic tweet describing the Pakistani all-rounder immaculately immature and called Afridi's UN citation according to the latter's age group which is 'Under Nineteen'.
Giving a general reaction to Afridi's tweet on Kashmir and UN, Gambhir stated, "Afridi is only looking for UN which in his retarded dictionary means “UNDER NINTEEN” his age bracket. Media can relax, Shahid Afridi is celebrating a dismissal off a no- ball!!!"
Media called me for reaction on @SAfridiOfficial tweet on OUR Kashmir & @UN. What’s there to say? Afridi is only looking for @UN which in his retarded dictionary means “UNDER NINTEEN” his age bracket. Media can relax, @SAfridiOfficial is celebrating a dismissal off a no- ball!!!

Gautam's reply came in response to Afridi's opinion over the blood-spilling clashes between protesters and security forces in Jammu and Kashmir which read, "Appalling and worrisome situation ongoing in the Indian Occupied Kashmir. Innocents being shot down by oppressive regime to clamp voice of self-determination & independence."
Appalling and worrisome situation ongoing in the Indian Occupied Kashmir.Innocents being shot down by oppressive regime to clamp voice of self determination & independence. Wonder where is the @UN & other int bodies & why aren't they making efforts to stop this bloodshed?

He has further urged the United Nations to step in and stop the clashes. Notably, hours before Afridi's remark, UN Secretary-General's spokesperson, Stephane Dujarric said, "The Secretary-General is, indeed, very concerned about the situation that we've seen in Jammu and Kashmir."
He further reminded, "That Member States are responsible under the international humanitarian law to protect." Earlier in 2016 during a Twenty20 match against Australia, Afridi has ignited a controversy when only thanked the fans from 'Kashmir and Pakistan' for supporting their team.
Incidentally, 13 terrorists who were neutralised by Indian security forces in three encounters were termed as "innocents" by Pakistan government. However, Indian forces have recovered AK-47 and AK-74 rifles from the killed troops, confirming that they were indeed terrorists.
