Australian skipper Aaron Finch on Tuesday won the toss and opted to bat first against India in the second ODI of the three-match series at the Adelaide Oval.

The hosts set a mammoth total of 298/9 in their 50-overs quota, Team India needs 299-runs to win the 2nd ODI and to remain alive in the series.

Middle-order batsman Shaun Marsh smashed a well-made 131-runs off 123 balls and Glenn Maxwell scored a quick-fire 48 off 37 balls.

Aussie did not find a good opening as their skipper Aaron Finch fell on 6-runs, but Marsh stood still on one hand and took his team to a good total.
