Shocking! Chinese Woman Loses Eyesight Over Mobile Game Addiction

Youngsters often get addicted to their mobile phones which leads to them getting scolded from their elders and parents, but do they stop? Hardly! In some cases, the habit goes away with time but for those who are unable to get over it, the results can be severe.

As a harsh result of the reckless habit of playing mobile games for long hours, a 21-year-old Chinese woman lost partial eyesight. Reportedly, the woman is known as Wu Xiaojing and faced the issue after playing for a whole day.

The woman is addicted to the popular Chinese game, King Glory and was playing the game for many hours when she was suddenly unable to see anything. The lady was taken to the hospital immediately where she was diagnosed with Retinal Artery Occlusion (RAO).

Wu has admitted of being addicted to the game so much so that she played it for eight hours non-stop without taking an eating, drinking or washroom break. There were times when she would skip work just to stay at home and play the game.

On the day of October 1, she was playing the game for the whole day and started losing her sight at the dinner time. Retinal Artery Occlusion is usually found in the elderly people and symbolises blockage in one of the small arteries that carry blood to the retina.

There are many teenagers and youngsters who suffer from the similar kind of addiction towards their smartphones. The habit can lead them to a hospital bed like Wu so they better beware!
