The way the Hrithik Roshan and Kangana Ranaut feud is being portrayed is not just a concern for the Hindi film fraternity but the entire community which talks about gender equality and fair treatment.

After the venomous accusations were thrown at Hrithik by the 'Queen' star, many celebrities have revealed their take on the row. Having had enough, even the concerned actor appeared on national Television to clear out the rumours.

Recently Farhan Akhtar wrote an open letter assessing the situation from head to toe and gave an unbiased opinion on the controversy. In his letter, he has requested the masses to refrain from forming an opinion based on the one-sided story.

Following the lead, another Bollywood celebrity, Yami Gautam has come forward with her own open letter clarifying that why "vilification of a man based on make-believe evidence is dangerous."

Yami is not very vocal on social media but the degree of gender bias involved in the controversy concerning "two of the biggest stars" of Bollywood has forced her to speak up. The actress has admitted to being "no legal expert" but also is not immune to media reports surrounding the case.

What has irked Yami to write the letter is that "People have presumed that since he (Hrithik Roshan) is a man, he must be the guilty party." She believes that media has hyped the matter at hand more than needed which is unethical.

The actress concluded the letter on the note that "Just because this is a fight between a man and a woman does not mean it has to be a fight between genders. Making everything a gender issue can easily distract us from addressing legit sexist issues that plague our society."

Yami has worked with Hrithik in 'Kaabil' and is in the race for bagging the lead role in an action-drama starring Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff which was announced on the birth anniversary of Yash Chopra by Yash Raj Films this year.

The actress was undoubtedly inspired by Farhan Akhtar's post to which she has earlier reacted with "Powerful thought #amustread" comment.
