Bollywood actress Yami Gautam has garnered a massive fan following in a little amount of time, all thanks to her infectious smile and kind persona. However, the pretty lady also possesses a generous heart which was proven with her latest donation for the underprivileged kids.

Instead of contributing monetarily for helping the children in Maharashtra's Kolhapur for their education, the actress lent a hand in the initiative of setting a library in the area. Yami’s donation will the 7-15 year help over 400 poverty-stricken children to read, learn and imagine.

For old children, Yami has donated science, math and history books on the recent World Book Day and also shared the information on social media. She mentioned about passing on the privilege of reading through physical books to the tech-stricken gen-x.

She wrote, "Our childhood has been good because we had some great books to discover. The happiness of reading a book in its physical form is so much better. Pass on the joy today to another child." The actress has always kept strong for the empowerment of children through education.

"I have a personal connection as I have grown up watching my grandpa start a school which was for underprivileged kids who could not afford to spend on education," she mentioning, adding, "Which is why this (education) has a personal connect with me."

On the professional front, Yami Gautam has bagged Shahid Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor-starrer ' Batti Gul Meter Chalu', marking her first collaboration with both the actors. The film is scheduled to release nationwide on August 31st, 2018.
