Will All Still Be Well? 3 Idiots Sequel In The Making Confirmed!

Director Rajkumar Hirani has confirmed that he is planning to make a sequel to his superhit film '3 Idiots', media reported on Wednesday. The movie 3 Idiots from 2009, starring Aamir Khan, Sharman Joshi, R. Madhavan and Kareena Kapoor Khan is one of the most loved Bollywood films. It is yet to be seen if the same cast will be repeated.

The movie managed to not only become the box office hit in Hindi film cinema but also a Chinese box office hit when it released in the country. The director hasn't revealed much information on the film. However, he has hinted a sequel to the Aamir Khan starrer film 3 Idiots and expressed that he is extremely thrilled to take the franchise ahead.

In an interview with Mid-Day, Rajkumar Hirani said, "I definitely want to make a sequel to 3 Idiots. In fact, Abhijat [Joshi, writer] and I started writing something a few days ago. But it's still in the initial stage and we will take a fair amount of time to develop the script," when was asked if he's planning to make the sequel to 3 Idiots.

As for Rajkumar Hirani, he is currently busy with the promotions of Sanju which is over a week away from its release. After the release of the most awaited movie of 2018 Sanju, the director will start working on Munna Bhai 3.

The speculations about this Sanjay Dutt franchise being taken ahead has been doing the rounds since years. In fact, the poster of the film was out in back 2007. However, the project never saw the light of the day. But alas! Hirani is back to is popular franchise starring Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi.

On the other hand, speaking of 3 Idiots we have to wait a bit longer, from pre-production to casting, all the details for this second installment are yet to be announced. It is also left to be seen if the story will take from where they had left it in the last installment of the comic caper.

The film 3 Idiots was loosely based on Chetan Bhagat's book Five Point Someone.
