The nation has been stunned by the loss of more than 40 CRPF jawans in the Pulwama terrock attack on February 14.

Bollywood actor Vicky Kaushal who was last seen in Uri: The Surgical Strike has strongly condemned the terror attack in which at least 49 CRPF troopers lost their lives. The actor described the episode as "sad".

Speaking to media, the Bollywood actor said, "Main ek bohot kum knowledge wala insaan hoon. Isko lekar yahaan baithke bolna bohot aasaan hai ki aap yeh kar do, aap woh kar do, aisa hona chahiye, waisa hona chahiye. Uske repercussions bhi hote hai. I think the best move, humari government soch hi rahi hogi. (I am a man of limited knowledge. Sitting here, it is very easy to say that this or that should be done. But there are repercussions to think of as well. I am sure our government is already thinking about the best way to retaliate)."

"Jaise hum baat kar rahe hai, waise ek thos tareeke se baat chal rahi hogi kahin. Mujhse zyaada gyani log yeh baat kar rahe honge and I think unpe chhodna chahiye. (As we speak, a serious discussion on how to respond to the attack must be going on somewhere. People who are more knowledgable than me are involved in the discussion and I think we should leave it to them.) But that pain and anger that we are feeling unitedly, I feel that it should not be forgotten and it should not be forgiven also," Vicky added.

He also said that a befitting response should be given to the terrorists behind the attack. "Bilkul, ek jawaab dena bohot zaroori hai, jawaab iss taur pe ki inn cheezon ko hum lightly nahi lenge, bohot seriously lenge. (Absolutely, it is necessary to give a befitting response that will make them realise that we do not take such things lightly but very seriously)," he said.

In his latest release "Uri: The Surgical Strike", Vicky played the role of an army officer. He received a lot of praise from the audience for his performance in the film.

"It is a great loss of human lives. If in any possible way, we can support the family of martyrs, it would be a great contribution from our end, as a society. The whole incident should not be forgiven and forgotten," he told on Saturday.

The actor made the remarks on the sidelines of the final day of Act Fest, organised by Cine and TV Artistes' Association (CINTAA) and the 48 Hour Film Project.

Actress Kubra Sait also condemned the attack and urged people to be kind towards humanity.

"The film fraternity is coming together to say that what happened is incorrect... it is extremely heartbreaking and shocking.

"I will not support terrorism in any way especially when terrorism is faked in the mask of faith. I'm not somebody who agrees to this. I think its high time that humans started loving each other with kindness with respect and just with love," she said.
